Peter Tsai

Peter completed his MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Auckland in 2008 under the supervision of Associate Professor David Bryant from the Department of Mathematics. Since then he has been working for the Bioinformatics Institute as a research programmer. Peter has been involved in a variety of interdisciplinary projects including work he did with the Leigh Marine Laboratory providing multivariate statistical analyses for marine species data. He has also contributed to studies at the School of Biological Sciences (analysis of next generation sequencing data), Auckland Hospital (evolution of Hepatitis B viruses) and University of Harvard, USA (analysis of Mycoplasma genome evolution).
